Teamstudio Undo
Undo for Notes
- Easily revert to a previously saved version
- Pick and choose which previous version you want
- Avoid the clutter of manually saved files
Though some developers may insist otherwise, nobody’s perfect. Stuff happens. And when it does, you don’t want to be frantically digging through the virtual dumpster, searching for previous versions of designs or bits and pieces of code needed to keep development plugging along.
Even if your shop is conscientious about backing up its applications, development efficiency is compromised and time wasted by having to manage a manual undo process and sort through a swamp of design element versions. Teamstudio Undo provides an automated undo system that, like a safety net, allows developers to work without the fear that a misstep will cause pain that could last hours, if not days.

Beyond CTRL Z
As a developer tests code changes in Domino® Designer, they create a ‘copy of ...’, then ‘another copy of ...’, followed by a ‘copy of another copy of ...’ in order to protect previous work. Is this a sane way to develop? No, of course not ... but what is the alternative if you need to try something out that may need to get reversed? Teamstudio Undo is the better way. Using Undo instead of relying on copy and paste lets developers quickly recover previously saved elements—no matter when the changes were committed.
How do you know which backup to go back to? Undo has a built-in comparison tool that makes it easy to compare different versions to find the right one. It also features a rollback capability that lets you overwrite the current version of an application design with an older version.
For best results, add CIAO!
If you happen to believe (like we do) that good practices make a difference, consider adding Teamstudio CIAO! to your development environment. Undo and CIAO! work hand-in-glove to provide total protection to your applications—Undo for when design elements are in an individual developer’s hands, and CIAO! for when the application is moving through the various phases of its lifecycle. CIAO!’s features include check-in/check-out and a defined promotion process.
