Teamstudio's Impact Analysis service can help you reduce the scope and cost of moving to a new platform by up to 70%!
Project Plan
Applications Assessment
Once the plan, scope, schedule and goals have been established, Teamstudio will assess your current applications to determine the most effective method for moving forward. One or more of the following services may be used to assist us in understanding your environment, and reducing your overall Notes footprint (this should be the first step in any migration project). We’ll then identify the applications that are viable for moving off of Notes, and the ones you can simply retire.
Teamstudio Catalog Scan
Since the amount of labor in any move off of Notes is determined by the number of applications being moved, a key factor in determining the scope and cost of the project is deciding which databases should be retired prior to the move. The Teamstudio Catalog Scan was designed to scan a server catalog and exclude applications that do not need to move to your new platform.
Teamstudio Usage Audit
The second method for reducing applications is to perform a Usage Audit on the applications identified in the Catalog Scan. Our usage audit employs a utility that scans the log on a scheduled basis and brings back real usage data. What sets this data apart from standard user detail information is that it provides user activity and allows you to eliminate server uses, or uses by a specific group, such as Administrators.
Teamstudio Application Analysis
After the initial catalog scan and usage audit, Teamstudio will perform an analysis of all remaining applications to determine their complexity and viability for moving off of Notes. This will allow us to create a list of applications that require further manual analysis.
Manual Analysis
This more detailed manual analysis will help determine the cost and scope of the move off of Notes, both overall and for each individual application.
Summary
Teamstudio's Impact Analysis for Moving off of Notes will help you determine the true size, cost and scope of your project. By identifying applications by purpose, analyzing those applications, and then mapping out their complexity, we can typically reduce the scope and cost of a move to a new platform by up to 70%.
