"Atlas Copco, ISSL (IBM Software Services for Lotus) has used Teamstudio Profiler to examine performance issues with their worldwide intranet 'Portal' Site.

The site is completely built within Domino and a lot of pages are rendered to the browser using very complex LotusScript agents. With only a couple of days to discover the culprit in this business critical application (existing of several databases and thousands of lines of LotusScript code) we needed a tool to help us out. We chose to use Teamstudio Profiler to profile all WebQueryOpen agents and try and discover where the performance bottleneck was located. Teamstudio Profiler allowed for us to focus our optimization efforts on the functions with the most significant performance impact.

After running Teamstudio Profiler for the first time, it came up with a remarkable result: it clearly indicated a function that was called several times in all agents as the main culprit responsible for consuming the bulk of the processing time. As we discovered, this function was poorly written and after rewriting it the performance improvement was high.

Without Teamstudio Profiler we would not have been able to pin down problem areas in the agents with such ease and in such a short period of time. Performing the same exercise manually, i.e. going over every single line of code, would have taken us weeks without the certainty to pinpoint the actual performance issue."
