"When it comes to legacy databases, developers may have hard-coded things and Teamstudio Configurator allows me to zip through the database to find instances of something I know to be hard-coded. I can either change that with Configurator, or what I really like is that I can find all instances where I need to change the database so the hard-coding can be removed and we can use Profile or keyword documents to control the data. I also had a recent instance where I had built a web-enabled database myself. The marketing department had a 2-week special and wanted to change the application's colors for that time period, and then change it back after the special was over. Even though I built the database myself and knew where colors were defined, there was a lot of CSS and HTML everywhere (pages, forms, subforms, views, etc..). Without Configurator, I would have spent hours upon hours making sure I changed the colors everywhere (and probably still would have missed something). But with Configurator, I spent about 15 minutes changing colors in my template, and never had to worry about missing something.
