Have you ever wanted to make a design change to a template, with the intention of propagating that change across multiple databases right away? If so, you probably would have noticed that your options were few.
To achieve this goal, you could ask the server administrator to run the design task on all servers on which the applications reside (slim chance of getting an OK on that during the business day). Or, you could push the template out to all of the servers, and then go to each database and refresh the design manually-a time-consuming and tedious task.
But there is a third option you might not know about: Teamstudio Design Manager allows you to open multiple databases in the target pane of the user interface. Using Design Manager's Synchronization functionality, you can automatically refresh the design of all of the selected databases.
Design Manager's Synchronize Design function can be found in the Database menu.
So, when you want to propagate a recently completed change across multiple databases, you can simply roll out your template to the servers on which the inheriting databases reside, open each inheriting database, and synchronize the design. Now, wasn't that easy?
