The start of a new year always feels like a fresh chance to reflect on how things have changed — and what’s coming next. And this January, we’re celebrating something special: Teamstudio is turning 30.
For three decades, we’ve worked side by side with teams using Lotus Notes and HCL Domino, supporting them as their systems evolved, expanded, and modernized. We believe in focusing on steady, reliable improvements that keep your Notes tools running smoothly.
That same mindset guided us through 2025 — one of our busiest years yet for Teamstudio Export.
Looking Back at 2025: A Big Year for Teamstudio Export
Throughout the year, we poured effort into making Export better, shipping more than 60 updates. These weren’t just minor tweaks — they included new features and enhancements, stability improvements, and fixes drawn straight from real customer environments and experiences in using Teamstudio Export in their data migration projects.
Instead of saving everything for one big annual release, we’ve stuck with our approach of rolling out incremental updates that:
Improve reliability for large, complex exports. Errors that interrupt the Export process are time-consuming.
Handle tricky edge cases that pop up in long-running Notes apps. You'd be amazed at the number of odd-ball one off issues we've come across in our time, or maybe you wouldn't!
Reduce risks during data archive and migration projects. Continually improve archive output validation and accuracy
And in 2025 it came together in December with the quiet release of Teamstudio Export 5.0.2 — a maintenance-focused update packed with over 30 fixes and improvements. It didn’t come with a boatload of new features, but that’s kind of the point. This kind of update is all about stability and accuracy, which is exactly what matters most when you’re generating archives of historical Notes applications.

A New Year’s Resolution Worth Keeping: Stay Up to Date
As we move into this new year, here’s an important question to consider:
When was the last time you updated Teamstudio Export?
A lot of our customers are surprised by how much has changed since their last upgrade. Staying current means you get access to fixes, performance gains, and insights from real-world use cases — all of which help your exports run more smoothly.
Keeping Export up to date helps you:
Run data exports and archives more predictably
Avoid surprises with complex views, documents, or application logic
Ensure output accuracy.
If you’ve been putting off an upgrade because “it’s working fine,” now might be a good time to revisit that.
Built on Experience
Reaching 30 years isn’t about nostalgia — it’s about consistency and continuity. Teamstudio Export is shaped by decades of hands-on experience with Notes and Domino data structures, security models, and applications that have evolved over many years.
That experience is reflected in our steady release cadence and our focus on data integrity, output correctness, and long-term reliability. The 63 updates delivered in 2025 are a direct result of this approach, addressing real-world scenarios encountered by our customers during their Export projects.
Looking Ahead
We’re proud of what we accomplished in 2025, but we’re not slowing down. In February, we’ll be rolling out an update to Teamstudio Usage, adding new CSV data export and report generation features.
Thanks, as always, for trusting Teamstudio and Teamstudio Export. Here’s to a year of smooth updates and improved archive accuracy and completeness.
